In solidarity with the people of the Philippines, NJ and international antifascists must stand together and support the ongoing anti-corruption uprising and the youth leading the charge. More can be read about what is happening in the Philippines here.
Currently the government is fiercely repressing the majority youth led movement and imprisoning them, threatening them with lengthy prison sentences in an effort to squash their actions and the uprising. In addition, the state is trying to block the youths’ access to lawyers and violating their civil rights.
While the youth and their supporters are combating state repression on the ground, the need for funds to support legal costs and aid for the families of the imprisoned youth is only growing.
