Support Andrew’s Fight: Brick NJ Resident Accused of Destroying Flock Camera

Anonymous Submission to Jersey Counter-Info

Last week, Brick Township police announced the arrest of 31-year-old Brick resident, Andrew Wardell, for allegedly destroying one of the police department’s new Flock cameras. Wardell is charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief for the incident in which a Brick Township police department flock camera was allegedly intentionally cut down.

An example of a flock camera, similar to the one Wardell is accused of taking down.

Wardell is fighting the charges and is in need of community support to continue his legal fight. Currently he has reached 20% of the $9,000 goal. If you can spare any cash, even if it’s $5 or $10 it will go a long way in supporting a NJ resident against the increasing surveillance state.

An excerpt from his fundraiser is below and the link can be found here.

“Andrew Wardell is someone who has always shown up for others, and anyone who knows Andrew knows the kind of person he is. Andrew is the type of person who will drop anything to help someone, even a stranger, and would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. He has helped so many people in town whenever they needed support, and has been a steady source of kindness, generosity, and encouragement to those around him. Now Andrew is the one facing an incredibly difficult situation, and he needs his community behind him.

The financial burden of fighting this is more than one person should have to handle alone. If you are able to give, please consider supporting Andrew during this stressful and expensive time. If you are not in a position to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Andrew in your thoughts would mean so much.”
