Newark Killer Cops: Lorenzo Orsi and Lucfred Petion

from The Foerster Report

Juan Restrepo, an 73 year old elderly NJ resident from North Jersey was murdered by Newark police officers, Lorenzo Orsi, Lucfred Petion, and their superior Sgt. Jose Figueroa on June 15, 2020. The reason you are only likely learning about this now is because the state has worked for years to bury his horrific murder and protect the state agents that robbed Restrepo of his life. Earlier on June 15, 2020 Restrepo was involved in a car accident and was violently detained by the police who suspected he was “intoxicated” because he was “acting weird”. For hours during his detainment he was tortured by police who taunted him for not being able to walk or respond to questions. It was only when he finally made it to the hospital after he collapsed in the street that doctor’s revealed he had no drugs in his system and had actually suffered a heart attack because of the car accident. By then it was too late and Restrepo died.

Restrepo’s family tried to campaign for something to be done and for the cops to held accountable, but was not successful. While no justice can be seen from the state and its systems,  the actions of dismissing of lawsuits and criminal indictments and refusal to publish body camera footage against killer cops for what they are: further proof that the state wields its power to protect its agents and itself while simultaneously furthering the suffering of those it oppresses.

The following information is being released to the public as both officers are still employed and pose a serious threat to public safety in the larger NJ community.

Lucfred Petion decided to transfer from the Newark police department, because of the heat he gained from both court proceedings and the recent news media outlets. He joined the Union police department on March 9, 2022. Petion, 36, still resides right next to Newark in Irvington, NJ at his apartment at #4 1022 Stuyvesant Ave.

Lorenzo J. Orsi  is reportedly still with the Newark police department and also employed as a marine in the US military. Orsi was deployed to Afghanistan in 2018 prior to his recent murdering of Restrepo, which draws larger questions about his conduct to Afghani people during his time occupying the country. What war crimes is he responsible for? Orsi, 26, still lives in Newark at 388 Chestnut Street.
