from Foerster Report
During the Summer of 2020, Nicholas Piotrowski and other Trenton NJ police officers (Jeffrey Donaire, Kozell Hodges, Cornell Huff, Bryan Kirk, Angel Pena, Glendy Quijada, Yajaira Torres, and Sergeant Rosemarie Addar) murdered Joseph Ahr, an elderly disabled Trenton resident while responding to a routine house call. Almost immediately when they arrived on scene the Trenton police officers began to degrade and try and bait Ahr into confrontation, mocking him and his disabilities.
Ahr, who was attempting to go back into his residence, was violently detained and pepper sprayed by Piotrowski and the other officers despite informing them he was at high risk of contracting COVID-19 and other complications due to only having one lung. After the assault Ahr can be heard and seen on camera visibly struggling and telling the officers that he couldn’t breathe. It took over 20 minutes for Emergency Medical Technicians to arrive and Ahr was not given any medical assistance prior. Ahr died two weeks later in the hospital as a direct result from the police assault he experienced.
Ahr’s family has faced an uphill battle in trying to get accountability from the city of Trenton and the Trenton Police Department. The grand jury declined to indict anyone for direct involvement in his abuse or death. The only action being taken is against Piotrowski, who is facing a single charge of official misconduct. Piotrowski and the other police officers are all still employed by the Trenton police department.
The local Trenton community has its doubts about whether or not Piotrowski will even go to trial, despite being indicted and suspended, as Nicholas and his family have deep connections within the Trenton and Hamilton Police Departments as well as the New Jersey State Police. His dad, brothers, uncle, and other extended family members are either active or retired police officers who wield considerable power in New Jersey. Nicholas Piotrowski is already seeing the benefits of being a part of a police family, and has raised over $20,000 in support, off of Ahr’s death through a go fund me page after he was indicted. Piotrowski’s page has been flagged and reported, due to the fact that it violates GoFundMe’s official fundraising guidelines but has not been taken down. Details and steps on how to report Nicholas Piotrowski’s GoFundMe page will be at the end of this post.
Piotrowski continues to be a threat to Trenton residents and is poised to either get away completely with his role in the murder of Joseph Ahr, or only get a slap on the wrist due to his familial connections to state power.
It is with these considerations that the following information is released:
Nicholas P. Piotrowski is 33 years old, and has been employed as a police officer in Trenton, NJ since 2016. He recently sold his house and moved from his address on Lander Drive in Hamilton NJ, likely in a bid to raise money for his legal defense and to financially support himself during his current suspension. Piotrowski’s current address is up in the air, however, he has stayed periodically at his parents house located at 17 Oaken Lane in Trenton, during his suspension. He is bald, and has several forearm and upper arm tattoos on his left side.
Nicholas Piotrowski’s fundraiser is still currently up and active despite being mass reported for violating GoFundMe’s policies on fundraisers relating to violent crimes. He is still racking up donations and has made thousands of dollars off the murder of Joseph Ahr. In order to prevent him from continuing to profit of off Ahr’s murder, Piotrowski’s fundraiser can be directly accessed and reported here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/police-officer-nick-piotrowski. Please follow the standard reporting measures as outlined by GoFundMe.
