An Analysis on NJ Cop Activity

Anonymous Submission to Jersey Counter-Info

As of this week two Lower Township, NJ pigs, Austin Craig and Eric Campbell, resigned their positions and are no longer employed. They were pressured to resign in part from public pressure over a highly publicized theft case last fall.

Bizarrely, the two were caught on video in Cape May stealing bicycles. While it’s currently unknown why the two pigs were stealing bikes, there is a long history of NJ state agents acting with impunity. See this article and this article. Craig and Campbell clearly felt emboldened and insulated by the state to do whatever they wanted for their own personal gain. The pair however were sloppy and got caught on several surveillance cameras casually and very openly lifting bikes. Craig and Campbell were banking on NJ’s love affair with “law enforcement” to protect them, but in a rare occurrence they were sacrificed to renew public “trust” in the state. The pair is now facing low level charges and will each be given Pre-Trial Intervention.

NJ state agents increasingly seem lazy and ego driven, daring the general public and liberals to try and fight them through “police accountability boards”, “de-escolation training”, and “community policing/cop programs”. As anarchists we know neo-liberal reforms are doomed and ultimately give the state and its agents more power. We can however use Craig and Campbell and other sloppy NJ pigs as an opportunity to further dismantle and fight the state. We can challenge the state through utilizing resources like NJ.com’s The Force Report to monitor your local police department,  killing the cops inside our own heads, establishing and instituting a framework that removes the police from our communities, or direct sabotage.
