Paterson Killer Cops: Dodi Zarrilla and Jacob Feliciano

from The Foerster Report

Last February 3, 2021 two Paterson police officers Dodi Zarrilla and Jacob Feliciano, attacked and kidnapped Felix DeJesus a local Haledon man after an incident at a neighborhood bodega. Allegedly, DeJesus had harassed a female patron at the bodega and the police were called. Despite the female patron asking the police to leave and telling them she did not want to press charges against DeJesus, Zarrilla and Feliciano decided to attack and kidnap him instead. After assaulting DeJesus, Zarrilla and Feliciano drove him around the neighborhood and dropped him off at a park dazed and injured without a coat in frigid temperatures in the middle of the night. DeJesus has not been seen since and has been officially “missing” for 10 months. Paterson police have a long history of abusing residents openly, stealing and running schemes on residents they claim to “protect and serve”, and a litany of other slimy and exploitative behavior. DeJesus’ treatment and disappearance is also eerily reminiscent of “starlight tours” across so-called North America.

The local community along with DeJesus’ family have pushed for the city both Paterson officers to be held accountable for Felix’s disappearance, but it has been an uphill battle. Additionally, Jacob Feliciano has been harassing the DeJesus family, and violently trying to intimidate them. In late October, Giovanni DeJesus, Felix’s brother, was arrested by Feliciano on trumped up charges in an attempt to get him to stop looking for answers regarding his brother’s disappearance. Feliciano’s actions appear to be escalating significantly in an effort to silence the DeJesus family and stall any further action to find Felix. The Paterson police department has tried to brush everything under the rug by suspending both Feliciano and Zarrilla without pay for a few months, hoping the heat, like DeJesus, will disappear.
